Jeane Duffey was born in Aldershot and attended Epsom and Wimbledon Schools of Art and became an Associate of the College of Preceptors London. She spent a period of eleven years teaching at Yately Hall and Farnborough Hill Convent College in Hampshire and also conducted the relevant examinations for the subjects of Textile Printing and Design and associated subjects in her own studio for the University of London "A" Level syllabus. She has had numerous one-person and mixed shows in England and Canada. These include the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours the Royal Society of British Artists The Commonwealth Institute The Mall Galleries Century Galleries Henley-on-Marshall Gallery Salt Spring Island B.C. The artist is now a Canadian Citizen living in Tsawwassen near Vancouver B.C. Since moving to the West Coast in 1981 she has been inspired to record the magnificient scenery and has exhibited in many group and one person shows including a most successful nine day exhibition at the Canada Pavilion during Expo '86 in Vancouver. Many of her works are contained in corporate and private collections. Apart from the original paintings in oils watercolours acrylic gouache and aniline inks exhibited regularly many of Jeane's images are published as posters in England by Bancrest Worldwide.
