Paul Weller's Stanley Road

This the famous album cover for Stanley Road that Blake designed for Paul Weller. It is based around on a collage, as was Sgt. Pepper, and features images pertinent to Paul Weller's interests, heroes and personality: the Eiffel Tower, John Lennon, Aretha Franklin, George Best, a old bus, a mod on a scooter etc. The work also features classic pop art motifs of Blake's: a target, star and heart. The central image is a painting of Paul Weller as a 5 year old, holding a photo of his adult self.
