American artist Edy Ferguson studied her BA in Fine Art at Washington University in St Louis  before moving to New York where she worked as an art director for music videos, winning an MTV award for Best Video for the song Jeremy by Pearl Jam in 1993. Ferguson then went on to study MA Fine Art at Hunter College in New York.

 

Over the course of twenty years, Ferguson has performed and exhibited across the world, including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Jersey, Paris, Nantes, Rome, Geneva, Athens, Thessaloniki, Caracas, Mardin, Torun, Vienna, and Innsbruck. Her work is also represented internationally in several high-profile collections such as The George Economou Collection (Greece), Monique Barbier-Mueller (Switzerland), Mercedes Vilardell, and the Baroness Marion Lampert Collection (LAC). Ferguson has received various prizes and grants, including awards from leading institutions such as the MoMA PS1 Institute of Contemporary Art in New York, and has worked between artist residencies in Vienna and Athens.
